Intern for NU

NU offers three month paid internships with our law, research, organising or communications teams from time to time to students from South Africa and the Global South who are studying towards or have recently graduated from a discipline related to our work (urban planning, architecture, human geography, politics, law etc). We want to being talented young people into social justice work and we want to give people an opportunity to be employed, gain experience and find decent work. Please contact jared@nu.org.za with a CV, a cover letter and an example of your writing or work.

Research with Ndifuna Ukwazi

NU welcomes opportunities to collaborate with students and researchers interested in our work and campaigns. We want to contribute to research that builds knowledge here in South Africa; or may help to contribute to systemic change globally. We like research built on relationships, we like researchers who spend time in our movements, we rarely provide introductions for interviews outside of our staff. Please contact jared@nu.org.za.

Visiting Students

We rarely work with visiting delegations of students from the United States and Europe, though it depends on the nature of the programme and the time we have available.
