The deadline for applications to the Ndifuna Ukwazi Fellowship Programme has been extended to 15 January 2012.
In the event that applicants cannot immediately provide academic transcripts or a school certificate, such applications will be considered with the understanding that the supporting documentation will be provided before 23 January 2012.
The updated brochure and the application form are available from the Ndifuna Ukwazi offices or its website.
One of Ndifuna Ukwazi’s key goals is to contribute to building a cadre of young leaders, activists, and lawyers. The Fellowship Programme will help to achieve this by allowing selected individuals to participate in one year of study in the fields of politics, history, and law. The Fellowship Programme will also give Fellows the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding and practical experience of organising all aspects of social justice and human rights work.
Twelve Fellows will be selected for 2012. At least 3 Fellows will be appointed for the first quarter of the year, which is provisionally scheduled to start 23 January 2012. Fellows will receive a stipend of R 5 000.00 per month, a work space, and computer access at the Ndifuna Ukwazi offices in Cape Town.
Completed forms can be e-mailed to fellowship@nu.org.za or submitted by hand. For more information, visit Ndifuna Ukwazi Fellows page or
