Safe Khayelitsha

[rev_slider_vc alias=”CPJ-safe-khayelitsha” el_class=”spj”]

The Safe Khayelitsha campaign brings together relevant stakeholders, including SAPS, academics, activists, and Khayelitsha communities to create a safer Khayelitsha. Various organisations are working to improve safety and create dignified living conditions for those living in the Cape Town township. Many of the initiatives detailed on the Safe Khayelitsha website, such as the SAPS Joint Forum, came about as a result of the Khayelitsha Commission of Inquiry, which ran from August 2012 to the same month in 2014, and was a great victory for the residents of Khayelitsha.
