I absolutely loved my time with NU and the work I got to do and the people I got to meet and engage with.
The programme made me incredibly excited about a future in law. I learned so much and will take many of the lessons I learnt from this programme with me into the rest of my career. Everyone at the organisation was so guiding and encouraging and I feel lucky to have met everyone from the law centre and all the other parts of the organisation.
The programme was an insightful and eye-opening experience, teaching me about spatial injustice and state failure. It allowed me to see the divide between the world in which I live in and the world and lived realities of disadvantaged groups.
The programme was a beautiful reminder of why I study law. It went beyond the life of learning from a textbook into practical learning that affirmed the journey that I wish to embark on in my career.
The programme provided me with a holistic view of the work NU does in the context of urban land justice. I really enjoyed experiencing the organisation’s work culture and it has inspired me to pursue a career outside of the corporate sector. NU’s employees were all engaging, intelligent and supportive. It was inspiring to be entrusted with important research tasks.
It’s inspiring to be reminded that the law can be used to try and help people instead of oppressing them.
I felt at home, I felt like I could unleash my full potential and am grateful to the team that planned the programme.
