We invite community leaders and movement leaders to apply to participate in the Land and Housing School 2026 Cohort, taking place from 10 to 13 November 2026.
The programme will be held at an off-site venue, where participants will stay together for the duration of the four-day programme.
The Land and Housing School provides a platform for community leaders and movement leaders to come together to learn, share experiences, exchange knowledge, and strategise around land and housing issues. It offers an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of land and housing struggles while strengthening collective efforts to advance land and housing justice.
The School will create space for leaders to reflect on the challenges facing their respective communities, explore possible solutions, and develop collective strategies for moving forward. Through shared learning, collaboration, and collective reflection, the programme aims to strengthen community leadership and build solidarity among leaders working towards secure tenure, equitable access to land, and dignified housing for all.
Important Information: Please note that only successful applicants will be notified by email. This event is taking place in Cape Town; we do not fund people to travel to Cape Town for this event.
Application deadline: 27 October 2026
We encourage community and movement leaders who are committed to advancing land and housing justice to apply and take part in this collective learning and strategising process.
