Dr. Nomfundo is a senior lecturer in the Public Law Department at the University of Cape Town Law Faculty. She teaches constitutional law and has a broad research interest in constitutional and human rights law (from a critical race and afro-feminist perspective). Nomfundo also sits on the board of two other non-profits, the Equal Rights Trust and the Tom Queba Memorial Trust. She holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor in Civil Laws, MPhil (Law), and PhD (Law) from Oxford University. As the new Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Dr Nomfundo will spearhead our board's efforts to steer our organization towards achieving our goals.

Shuaib is a doctor and activist who has worked with many non-profit organisations including the Trauma Centre for Survivors of Violence and Torture, and the Oxford Rhodes Scholarship. He graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Natal and did his post-graduate studies in sports medicine and occupational health at the University of Cape Town and University of Birmingham.

Ramabina is an experienced researcher and stakeholder engagement specialist in the rural land justice and mining sector. He has worked with communities, civil society organisations, government and private companies to realise shared value in the extractives sector. He served as the UCT SRC President during the 2015 RhodesMustFall and FeesMustFall protests. He graduated from UCT with a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Psychology and Philosophy, and a BSocSc (Hons) in African Studies.

Mercy's research focuses on the creation of sustainable human settlements with particular interest in urban land management and the operation of urban land markets. She holds a BSocSc (Hons) and MSocSc from University of Cape Town and DPhil in Sociology of Work from Stellenbosch University.

Kholofelo is an investment professional with a focus on development and impact investments. His main focus is to grow investment in social infrastructure assets, including social and affordable housing, healthcare, clean energy. To this end Kholofelo manages a number of funds that aim to drive and catalyse investments into these focus areas. Kholofelo has degrees in both Law and Finance.

Michael specialises in regulatory, constitutional and administrative law. He has been involved in the drafting of legislation and regularly advises government, the private sector, and non-profit organisations. Michael has a BA (Hons) (First Class) and LLB from the University of Cape Town, a postgraduate diploma in Tax Law, and an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Pretoria.

Ruth is the South African Research Chair in Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies and a professor at the University of Western Cape. She holds a DPhil in Politics from the University of Oxford and served on the Presidential Advisory Panel for Land Reform and Agriculture in 2018 and 2019.

Phumeza is a social activist from Khayelitsha. She is a former General Secretary of the Social Justice Coalition and co-author of the book Fragments of Activism. Phumeza has a BA (Hons) in Psychology, Sociology, Gender Studies and Ethics from the University of the Western Cape and is completing an MPhil in Criminology, Law and Society at the University of Cape Town.
